Bible Study Notes
Genesis 1:1 - "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." This verse establishes the foundation of everything. Key observations: 1. God is the author. 2. He is pre-existent. 3. Creation was direct. The subsequent verses outline the six days of creation, showing God's order and brilliance. Light, atmosphere, land, vegetation, sun, moon, stars, sea creatures, birds, land animals, and finally, man in His own image.
- Day 1: Light (v. 3-5)
- Day 2: Firmament (v. 6-8)
- Day 3: Dry land and grass (v. 9-13)
- Day 4: Sun, Moon, and Stars (v. 14-19)
- Day 5: Sea life and fowls (v. 20-23)
- Day 6: Cattle, creeping things, and Man (v. 24-31)
